Our Harvest has been busy giving back to the communities we serve. This month we have hosted inspectors from the Ohio Department of Agriculture at Bahr Farm for an on-farm training session about the Food Safety Modernization Act. We also attended the Midwest Sustainability Summit and provided takeaway gifts such as lettuce and herbs for all of the participants. To expand our food access, we recently started construction on a third high tunnel at Bahr Farm, funded by the Greater Cincinnati Regional Food Policy Council’s Good Food Fund. In order to reach more communities effectively, Our Harvest has brought on two new employees, Tomi Sauerhage, Food Hub Manager, and Megan Kennedy, Weekly Harvest Box Coordinator.
