In the fall of 2018, a group of women contacted Co-op Cincy with the idea of forming a cleaning company. They didn’t want to create just any cleaning company. Rather, they hoped to create a business that
enabled them to make a good living
gave them a voice in decision-making
provided a healthy life balance
offered a secure future
One member of the group, Araceli Ortiz, had a background in social services. She saw the power of forming a co-op that provided house cleaning services of the highest quality while giving their workers a stake in the business. Now Cincy Cleaning Co-op is cleaning houses around Cincinnati!
