Power in Numbers: Black-led co-op business bootcamp

Work It. Own It.

Power in Numbers is an opportunity for Black-led teams of entrepreneurs to work through the process of launching a co-op business and build wealth for the long term.

Establishing a co-op business allows teammates to draw on each other’s skills and wisdom. We support participants in the process and offer ongoing technical assistance after they launch their co-op business. On top of this, we have access to a non-extractive loan fund devised to get our graduates’ co-op businesses on their feet. We can help teams craft successful loan applications.

We’re planning to offer our next Power in Number from January 16, 2024 to April 16, 2024.

Apply by December 15, 2023!

Each team accepted into the Power in Numbers boot camp will complete the 14-week course, creating the foundation for a resilient co-op business. Participants will learn from co-op development professionals and Black entrepreneurs. They will use tools to build and test successful business plans, and they will design a co-op business that serves their goals and values. The class meets for 2 hours per week. Expect to spend at least 5 hours per week outside of class designing, developing, and testing your co-op business ideas!
